They offer training both in a swimming
pool or in the Bay at Mission Bay. There are a variety of classes to
meet various skill levels.
Led by Jen Kleck who is one of the top coaches in the country, yet she
is very down to earth. Jen achieved the highest coaching ranking in
Nov 2007 and became the first American Level 5 Sea Kayak Coach. She
also holds BCU 5Star Leader Sea, 4Star Surf and 3Star Open Canoe awards.
Just like Jen all the instructors are trained and certified to the high
standards of the British Canoe Union (BCU).
Class sizes are limited to ensure as much personal instruction as possible.
Private lessons are also available.
RECOVERY (rescue training for Lake Hemet use)
must be able to perform both a self rescue and an assisted rescue
in order to obtain a Lake Hemet Safety Card.
Must have basic kayaking knowlege before taking rescue training.
in San Diego can certify you in rescue training.
The club coordinates group rescue
trainings from time to time at Aqua Adventures.
